If you manage a construction site or you are a foreman, you know how important safety training can be. After all, between the years of 1995 and 1999, there were typically 362 incidents of construction site falls, all of which ended in death. While accidents on the job site are frequently the result of equipment that is of a reduced quality, it is critical that your employees are well versed in fall protection training and heavy equipment training.
Determining the appropriate construction safety training can difficult, due to the wide variety of potential hazards. Perhaps this is partially why the typical pay rate per hour for construction employees in May of 2013 was $26.09. But ultimately, you must be prepared.
Based on the statistics alone, it seems that construction companies in the United Kingdom have taken this idea to heart. During the period from 2012 to 2013, there were only 148 instances in which construction accidents ended in death. This represents a reduction of 18% compared to the previous yearlong period.
